Nature is the storehouse of potential life of future generations and is sacred.
The bull dossers have been dangerously close to Glassbar Island recently. Turtle Flats the joint property with all the natural ponds just on the other side of the dirt road has been under construction. They have made a very big deal about keeping the public out of there, including the road they do not own, during the last few months while they have devastated the natural habitat by clearing the land and diverting the river through it. They are calling it a restoration. The rabbit and snake population has suffered immensely. By next summer the frogs in those ponds will be gone.
It is very important that we never let this happen to our State Park Glassbar Island. Please be aware, visit the Island often, network with the old time Island goers, and when called for speak up. We are after all responsible for our future generations.
